Ajay Gupta’s Address Resonates Across Century Mill on Republic Day
Call for Constitutional Values, National Progress and Karmayoga
Lalkuan:
The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and a sense of collective pride at Century Pulp & Paper Mill on January 26, 2026. The occasion witnessed the hoisting of the National Flag at the administrative complex by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the mill, Mr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, followed by warm Republic Day greetings to employees, officers and representatives of labour unions.
In his inspiring address, Mr. Gupta recalled the historic moment of January 26, 1950, when the Constitution of India came into force, giving the nation its identity as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. He remarked that India is not merely a geographical entity, but a living nation rooted in values, rights and duties. The Constitution, he said, has gifted the country enduring ideals of equality, liberty, justice and fraternity, which continue to guide India’s democratic framework.
Highlighting the dynamic nature of the Constitution, Mr. Gupta noted that 106 constitutional amendments have been made since 1950, reflecting its ability to adapt to changing times. These amendments, he said, have strengthened social justice, economic empowerment, transparency in governance and the expansion of citizens’ rights, enabling India to move steadily on the path of progress.
Speaking on India’s growing global stature, the CEO expressed pride in the country’s achievement of becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy. He called upon citizens, industries and the working class to contribute with dedication, innovation and a strong sense of duty to further consolidate this progress. Collective effort, he emphasized, is the key to achieving national goals.
Summing up his message with a contemporary national mantra, Mr. Gupta stated:
“Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Shram Daan.”
He elaborated that the sacrifice of soldiers, the hard work of farmers, the power of science and the spirit of labour together form the foundation of a self-reliant, prosperous and strong India.
On the occasion, employees from various departments were also felicitated for their outstanding performance during the year 2025, acknowledging their contribution to the organisation’s growth and excellence.
The programme was attended by Chief Operating Officer Mr. Pranav Sharma, Vice President Mr. Naresh Chandra, Mr. Amit Gangwal, other senior officials and representatives of labour unions. The proceedings were efficiently conducted by Mr. Sanjay Bajpai.
